The world’s longest-lived people don’t necessarily pump iron, run marathons or join gyms. Instead, they live in environments where movement comes naturally. Nino Maggadino, Wellness and Fitness Instructor at Max Flex Fitness in Naples, FL and Amy Lademann, co-owner and director of Pilates and Barre at BEYOND MOTION® will show you some simple, low impact exercises you can do right at home or during a work break help you get moving and feeling your best.
When healthy food tastes great, better food choices are irresistible. Learn how to apply Blue Zones Project® principles for healthier meal options using veggies, fruits, whole grains, beans and nuts. You’ll take home tips for tastier and healthier meals and snacks that your family and friends will love. Watch these free Cooking and Smoothie Making Demos to learn how to make delicious and healthy food you will love!
The world’s longest-lived people have learned down shift to combat stress and live happier. Julie Frizzi, yoga instructor, founder of Powerful You, counselor, and author and Suzanne Jeffreys, Tai Chi Instructor with Tai Chi with Suz will show you down shifting techniques to help you improve flexibility, gain strength, and build better balance, inner awareness, focus and calm.
One of the goals of the Blue Zones Project® is to help people discover a clear definition of their gifts or deepen their sense of purpose. Then, we hope to help people use their gifts more, through either existing outlets in their life (work, volunteering) or through new outlets where they are needed. Come and join us at our “Finding your Purpose Virtual Workshop” and gift yourself the opportunity of finding or reinforcing your strengths and talents.
